Introducing the Staff of APRDA

Centre Manager – Amy Hopkin

Centre Supervisor – Katrina McEldowney

I was volunteering as a teachers aid in a local school when in 2013 I decided to combine my love of horses and helping children by volunteering at APRDA for 4 days a week while my children were in school. I have been employed as a staff member since 2015. My role is to oversee the day to day running of the centre activities and office accounts.

Reception / Volunteer Coordinator – Sam Beh

RDA Coach / Carriage Coach / ASDAN Facilitator – Hilary Stubbs

After a break of 7 years, I happily returned to APRDA in 2017 and was invited to train as a riding coach, qualifying about a year later. As an existing carriage driving coach I was also keen to get the driving restarted at APRDA and thanks to the support of the committee and great volunteers, have now achieved this goal. Having a background in vocational education, I also have been fortunate to start an educational/life skills program known as ASDAN. I feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful role and workplace.
