Arundel Park’s new program for young adults got off to a great start this week with 4 participants getting to know each other and the wonderful horses at RDA. The program aims to develop independence skills and this term is focussing on ASDAN’s introduction to communication. Each person got to practise writing and reading so they could find their pony from name labels before catching and grooming them. We also started a project to build self wicking veggie beds. The students collected horse manure ready for composting and will gradually be creating the water conserving beds from recycled materials, developing a range of useful skills along the way.
