We are very excited to announce that carriage driving is returning to Arundel Park RDA in 2017. Carriage driving is open to anyone but especially to those who can no longer ride or prefer a different type of equestrian challenge.
Driving offers a different experience for people with a disability, with the opportunity to try cone driving, driven dressage or simply enjoy the bush on a trail drive. A passionate team of carriage driving enthusiasts will be involved in delivering the program and we are always on the lookout for new volunteers who want to be involved in assisting our drivers as well as learning about the traditional art of carriage driving.
We have purchased our original carriages including a special wheelchair adapted vehicle which can offer freedom and independence to our drivers. We need an experienced driving pony or horse to commence driving sessions in 2017. Driving offers the opportunity for many to develop physical skills and boosts confidence and self-esteem. It helps people that would otherwise be unable to ride a horse, enjoy being involved in equestrian sports and experience the benefits.Enquire Today
